          Online Account Basics

          You can create an account to view details about your home, renters, auto, life, boat, inland marine (for personal valuables) and personal catastrophe liability (PCL) policies with Erie Insurance. You don’t have to log in if you need to make a payment.

          Getting Started:

          When you create an account, you’ll be asked to share some personal information with us, including your name, address, date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number. For your username, use your email address.

          Once you enter your information (exactly as it appears on your policy) and we verify your identity, we’ll send you an email with a verification link. Just follow the instructions in the verification email and then you’ll be able to log in for the first time. If you’re having trouble with the account verification email, please check your spam or junk mail folders or go back to the log in screen and try it again.

          How can I access my auto identification cards?

          Auto insurance customers may access and print temporary auto insurance ID cards through their online accounts. There is one exception: if you live in New York, you have to contact us to request a copy of your insurance ID card. Call Customer Care:

          Can I make changes to my policy?

          Making a change to your policy may affect your coverage, so it’s best to get in touch with your local Erie Insurance agent. As an experienced insurance professional, your agent can help you make important decisions about your coverage.

          How do I reset my password or change my email address?

          You can reset your password from the log in screen or inside your account in your profile. Just follow the reset password screen prompts. Once you log into your account, you can update your email address in your profile.

          Why can’t I view my business insurance policy?

          Sorry about that. At this time, you can’t view business insurance policies online, but we plan to broaden the service in the future.

          Why do I have to answer identity verification questions when I create my account?

          We use questions to verify that you are who you say you are and to help protect your information from unauthorized users. These identity verification questions are provided by a third party and are based on information available in electronic public records. This data is not restricted to your relationship with ERIE, and ERIE has no control over the content of these public record databases.
